My mother helped me to find what I really wanted rather than solving or deciding it herself, for

whenever we have problems in the family. She, who majored in Philosophy and has always enjoyed reading Emil by Russo, wanted me to have a free life in nature. Following my mother, I also enjoy reading, which led me write many essays during my high school and university and I was rewarded Biothem Woman Award for my thesis on the status of women in modern times. My father has been generous but strictly scolded us whenever we have done something wrong.

My parents led us to travel to many parts of the country and I could broaden my view of the world. I think that my merits are the confidence and promptness in the case of selection.

For me, my parents have been the best models and supports in my life, and to be a proud daughter, I have been trying to do my best every day. Ours is a home where parents love their children and children respect their parents. I have strong reason to believe that my home is one that thrives on love and respect. I live at home, with my family and enjoy life there.

When I was young, I received an essay book titled There is little to show by Kahlil Gibran. Different from the real meaning of the book, it remains in my memory how much capability I can show to people in my life, so I often ask myself how much of my ability I am using. As an only child of my parents, I have been an apple of their eye. I am cheerful and sociable, to enjoy interacting with people and I have keep good relations with them. In particular, with the frequent transfers between schools during my younger years, I could develop my power of adaptation to new environments. I have the faith in interpersonal relations and it would be very necessary for me to work as professor. I try to understand others positions and avoid arguments. Sometimes, people say that I am indecisive but I try to stick to my opinion in the case of selection of important issues.

As a professional, I am very responsible for whatever I do and try to set my own goals. once I decide to do something, I never give up halfway and try to complete it precisely and perfectly, with a strong desire of victory.

Serving as class representative during my high school days, I learned responsibility. Since I was young, I have been good with my hands, so I entered the dept of Clothing Textile, Gyeongbuk National University in 1985. I have kept trying to improve myself through various ways, such as traveling and actively participating in school events. After graduating from university, in order to realize my long-cherished goal, which is to become a professor, I moved on to Graduate School for my master degree and doctoral degree. I believed that teacher is not just a kind of technician to teach but one to help students have the right views of the world from their point of view with professionalisms. I thought that the clothing is the behavior of add warm and true mind of the person and decided to continue further study. I received master degree for domestic science from the dept of Clothing Textile in Feb. 1992, Gyeongbuk National University, completed doctoral course from the dept of Clothing Textile Mar. 1992 to Feb. 1994 in the same school and was granted doctoral degree for domestic science (major: Clothing and Textile and sub-major: clothing composition) from the dept of Home Economics, in Jeonnam University in Feb. 2000.

From 1994 to 1996, I taught as instructor at the dept of Clothing Textile, Gyeongbuk National University and afterwards at Gyeongnam College from 1996 to 1997.

From Mar. 1994, I have been teaching as instructor at the dept of Clothing Textile, Gyeongbuk National University. My subjects in charge are <Dress Style Design?>, <Dress Style Design?>, <Solid Tailoring?>, <Solid Tailoring? Practice>, (The Science of Dress Style Design>, (The History of Western Design>, <Special Dress Composition and Practice ?>, < Special Dress Composition and Practice ?>, <Foreign Dress Composition and Practice 1>, < Foreign Dress Composition and Practice 3>, < Foreign Dress Composition and Practice 2> etc.

From Sep. 1996 to Feb. 1997, I have taught as instructor at the dept of Fashion Design, Gyeongnam College.

I think that people are recognized not by their given conditions but their results with efforts based on such conditions. In order to have better recognitions in the future as professor, my future self-developments as well as my efforts made so far are important as well. Regardless of which conditions I will be given, I will try my best. Also, well-prepared all the time, I enjoy challenges that come with new environment and such challenge could be the opportunity to overcome possible trials and errors. I am interested in studying my major-related computer program so I learned Photo Shop, Illustrator and Pattern CAD for it and I also participated in workshops held by the society such as <Solid Tailoring Lesson I> last winter. Together with the continuous collection of new information on pattern or sewing, I have been organizing study group for pattern study, every winter. I have done teaching at various schools from national university, private university to college, to meet various students and learn how to understand them. I am sure that my knowledge and experiences will prove useful for teaching at your school. I am a highly motivated and enthusiastic self-starter. Impressed by open-minded and sound educational system, I have been interested in your school a long time ago. If I have an opportunity to teach at your school, I will make my every effort with great pride in the job. I am ready to dedicate myself for teaching with self-development.
